6 Programs Every PC Should Have

1. The ability to spell check websites.
Solution: the Google tool bar with the spell check feature enabled.

2. The ability to block pop ups.
Solution: the same Google tool bar with the pop up blocker enabled.

3. The ability to save, sort, edit, send and publish images and your millions of digital pictures.
Solution: Picasa from Google. It is way easy to use and its free.

4. The ability to view your house or old schools using satellite imagery. (well I guess this isn't really that important, but its a great way to burn lots of time and see the world from outer space.)
Solution: Google earth. A free program that lets you zoom in on your old stomping grounds an see parts of the world you didn't even know existed.

5. The ability to open .rar files.
Solution: there is always someone out there that will intentionally compress files in some strange format (well strange to windows users at least) so we need a way to open just about compressed file.
Solution: WinRar. A free file decompression tool for the weird stuff. Better to have it when you need it than to have to find it later.

6. The ability to rename hundreds of files easily and quickly. We all have folders of poorly labeled pictures or something, or just want to take the spaces out of a thousand file names. Sometimes I just want all my files to be lower case in my documents folder.
