Oh, Internet Explorer 7. I fear Microsoft has released yet another product too early to “test” it on the general public and is going to fix problems along the way.

A lot of people have been asking me if Internet Explorer 7 is worth installing. In all honesty no, wait awhile until they (website owners and software developers) work out the kinks.

Here’s why:

1) A lot of programs that use Internet Explorer 6 as a core element of there program may not work with Internet Explorer 7. (I have heard reports of QuickBooks, McAfee [use AVG Free] and many websites not working properly)

2) Software and website developers need time to update there websites and software for Internet Explorer 7. IE6 users will not be left in the dark though, it is far too popular still.

3) It will be the core browser in the next Windows OS. It will be (more or less) perfected by then.

So unless you absolutely need a feature from IE7 save yourself some headaches and wait until the next version of Windows is released before you upgrade your web browser from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 7.
