Spybot Search and Destroy is a wonderful free tool that not only prevents tens of thousands of problems, it can also weed out spyware, adware and popups that have already taken hold of your system. This tool complements a strong antivirus program but cannot replace it.

Once you install Spybot Search and Destory be sure that you run the Update function. This will ensure you have the latest updates to protect your computer from harmful adware, spyware, virus, trojans and other malware.

After you have download all of the updates, navigate to the immunize section of Spybot Search and Destroy and be sure you have immunized your computer by clicking the immunize button. You will need to complete this task each time you update Spybot Search and Destroy
