Pretty much everyone this day in age has a high speed internet connection. Well, here is yet another way to take advantage of it for little or no cost!

Backing up your computer can be an annoying task. Given that if you want to do it “properly” you need to back up often and you need to store the files off site (in case of fire or theft.) No one has time for this. I usually just ask my self “if I can’t open this file tomorrow, how screwed am I?” If the answer doesn’t send me running to the store to buy a pack of blank DVD’s I generally write it off as not a big deal. But disasters do happen and always when you least expect it! So how can you appease the backup gods and still keep your sanity? Online backups!

These services allow you to store your files online at an off site location. They all run in the background so they don’t interfere with what your doing and most importantly they are AUTOMATED! So you can now sleep easy knowing that if you wake up tomorrow and everything is gone your just a few clicks away from re-downloading all your valuable data.

So you need a podcasting plugin for Wordpress? Well, 1PixelOut is an amazing solution, though there are a few things you may want to watch out for. The video below will quickly guide you through some of the basics, but you will need to understand the basics of uploading plugins to WordPress for this to make sense.

No really, this is awesome! Though it takes forever to type stuff with the wiimote! The Opera web browser is only $5 to add on! It’s well worth it!

Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to track exactly where your traffic is coming from.  I love seeing tens of thousands of hits from the rest of the world, but because my website is focused primarily on Maui residents.  I need to see how ‘Maui’ residents are finding my site, where they enter, how they navigate through it, how long they stay and what page they leave from.  This is incredibly helpful information when trying to convert customers!

We all know how important the content on your site can be.  It is the only thing that can get a visitor to turn into a customer! Google Analytics allows you to track exactly which pages are helping convert customers, and which pages are scaring them off!

If you notice 70% of your traffic leaves as soon as they hit your ‘about me‘ page, well… you need to fix that page up (update your photo! )

Google Analytics is a required tool this day in age for  and its $0 price tag makes it a fairly easy choice.
